Sally Harrell

Clinton (D) carried this district with 54.0% of the vote, against Trump's (R) 41.2%, making SD 40 the most flippable red-to-blue district in the State of Georgia. Representative Harrell is an exceptional candidate. She served in the GA House of Representatives from 1999 to 2005, representing part of DeKalb county in Metro Atlanta. During her time, she served on the Education, Human Relations & Aging, Children & Youth and Appropriations Committees, and championed a number of progressive issues. Representative Harrell has the experience, the support, and a clear understanding of what it will take to win this race.

Zahra Karinshak

Zahra Karinshak is one of the most well-rounded candidates running in this election cycle. She is a veteran that has served under 5 presidents, she is the daughter of an Iranian immigrant, a mother and wife, and has been ranked a top 100 Georgia Super Lawyer by her peers. Clinton (D) carried this district with 50.6% of the vote to Trump's (R) 45.3%. This district is considered to be one of the most ethnically diverse in Georgia, a big advantage to Democrats. Zahra has a full team, a pathway to victory, and she has the experience and dedication to win this race.

Mike Wilensky

HD 79 is another major district primed for change. Clinton (D) carried this district with 52.4% of the vote to Trump's (R) 42.9%. Wilensky owns his own law practice, which represents victims in their fight against big insurance companies. Mike is heavily involved in the district and the president of the Homeowners’ Association for the Ashford Chase neighborhood of Dunwoody, as well as a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association Legislative Committee and a board member of the Anti-Defamation League, Southeast Region. We believe Mike is a true progressive candidate with the ability to lock this away as a win for Democrats.
